19 December 2009: Just watched “King Kong” (2005) on the telly,… again. There was a previous remake released in 1976, at which time I was teaching Biology at Mount Lawley SHS. One of the students in the school was aspiring artist Mariusz Szczurowski (Lawley Alumni Class of 1976) who was drawing caricatures of some of the staff. Unbeknown to me, I was a victi... um, er, I mean,... subject. A student in my Human Biology class picked up the drawing and kept it. By coincidence, we made contact earlier this year, and she sent me the above image. Thanks, MMD. Thank you, Mariusz. It depicts a younger LXR as King Kong, standing on the top of the tallest building in 1930s NY, being attacked by biplanes and defending himself with… a test-tube. *der*
