VINCENT VAN GOGH

Vincent Van Gogh stayed for a year in St. Remy from May 1889 to May 1890. He had come from Arles to be placed in the Saint-Paul de Maudole mental hospital, where he was treated by doctor Peyron. From the window of his room and in the grounds surrounding the asylum, he created many of his most famous paintings and drawings.
