E238 RDBMS 2004
Major Assignment

chaos
The RDBMS is to be about Academy Awards. Because these Oscars have been around for so long (since about 1930), you have a wide choice of films, persons and genres, although admittedly only a few from each year.

One ideal internet source of info about films and personalities that you might use is The Internet Movie Database

All the awards over many recent years are shown at URLs like
<
http://us.imdb.com/Sections/Awards/Academy_Awards_USA/2001/>

Change the last four digits in the address bar to change to the awards for the year that you want.

This year (2004) was the 76th Academy Awards listing winners and nominees.

Stay On Task: Make sure that you are never more than one “click” away from an Oscar winner or an Oscar nominee. It is so easy to get distracted and to drift away from the allocated class work. (Otherwise, I will consider that you are “off-topic” and will close down your connection for the session.)

You should have at least 100 entities (records) in your database, but these can be variously divided among your three relations.

Date Due: Friday, 27 August 2004 (end of week 5 in Term 3).
